God's Fission

In everything good, there is bad. How can anything be defined without an antonym in mind? What would a god or God or gods be without their devils? What would yin be without it's yang? What would an electron be without a proton? Nothing. We would have no matter to make up our universe...except for dark matter...but that is another blog in itself. How can you ever be happy if you don't sometimes live in a dark tunnel where the light of happiness is only existing in your perspective thoughts.

Speaking of God and the devil and them going hand in hand, remember Al Pacino in the Devil's Advocate? If you don't, I will tell you that I am thinking of him playing Satan and putting his son (Keanu Reeves) through hell and back by making him live through a full fledged nightmare that is the cause of his most fatal flaw and original sin: vanity. Satan says that this has always been his favorite sin as he watches his son go back to normal life in Gainesville after experiencing a nightmare in New York City in which his wife ends up killing herself and Keanu is on the verge of committing incest with his sister in order to propogate the seed of the devil. Then, he commits the Catholic sin of suicide because he would rather be dead than aid his father in creating a devil child. At this point, he "wakes up" back to his normal life in the small town in which he is from with his beautiful wife played by Charlize Theron (who does a fantastic job acting her face off) as if this nightmare never happened.

The irony comes in when, after the devil's son is put through hell...he recovers and ends up a better person, which makes me think that Satan is still just a puppet of God. He exists to entice, and he sometimes forces us to taste the fruit of sin in order to drastically change. As Satan stood in a church as he attended someone's funeral who he killed, I was thinking that he was more God than he was devil. If God is in all of us, then God even must be in the devil. Sometimes, I think that the reason that God (yin) threw Satan(yang) out of heaven is so that he could have a piece of himself on the planet Earth that he could use as a tool to teach humans lessons on a daily basis. I am speaking metaphorically in everything that I have just said because I don't follow the stories literally in the Bible word for word, but I follow the messages that can be extracted from each story. A beautiful book-one that I want to read from beginning to end-that is my next project after this Paul Auster book that I am reading called Book of Illusions-funny, because some people think that the Old Testament is a book of illusions, but that is a jaded opinion-in my jaded opinion..hehe.

You become educated at a higher university, which makes you question the Bible after years of thinking that all of Genesis is a history book of facts-which makes you question everything that you hold true-then, you actually gain wisdom many years after university and you no longer have a head that is too blown up with all of your attained "knowledge" that has been preventing you from accepting the world as a beautiful metaphor. When your mind has had the time to marinate in some sage and sift through the knowledge, then the world is ready to be absorbed in a mature way isn't full of hypocrisies, but love, optimism, and acceptance, which are huge themes in the Bible..in case you didn't know. You don't have to be a pessimist and critical to be sagacious or deemed intelligent. In fact, in time, one learns the one's feelings and perceptions of the world and the people that live in it are boomerangs. You throw critical paranoia out there, and that is going to come right back at you...not necessarily from other people, but from your worst enemy-yourself.

Nuclear fission creates energy-it has horrible by-products, but as long as they are contained, we live a life free of cancer and death from nuclear meltdown. Metaphorically speaking (I do believe in Darwinism), God and Satan were once one. Fission occurred, and now we have the human civilization...we just need to contain the extremely hazardous by-products that face us on a daily basis, and when we do encounter them, know that these temptations and sins exist not necessarily because you are a bad person, but because you are in a petri dish that is the result of fission and you wouldn't be human if you didn't dodge these elements on a daily basis. You can only dodge so many bullets...when one hits you, take it like a hu-man and wear your wound on your sleeve like it is a one of a kind and and rare emblem of wisdom.
