Beg to be a Chooser

Today there are no auditions. Kind of sad but kind of superbad at the same time (bad as in good) because this doesn't happen too often. Even if I have a 5 minute audition for a commercial, it still ends up taking up my entire day because it puts me into that non-stop, tunnel-vision, don't stop until I drop mood. Y'all know what I am talking about. Anyways, last night was kind of a drag because my boy was helping his friend move until 3 in the morning...well, he wasn't helping him move until 3, but of course, there is always the "out on the town for food and drinks" aspect of these kinds of philanthropic evenings, which I guess wouldn't make it philanthropic at all on my boy's part because the person "helping" by rule of thumb can most likely expect at least a piece of pizza out of the deal. I would help a friend in need and expect no pizza...although the pizza is always nice...especially my favorite-spinach, ricotta, and onion with a SIDE of marinara sauce.

Speaking of pizza, I have a new favorite pizza joint. It is on Avenue A between 5th and 6th (I think)-Sal's pizza. AMAZING garlic knots...I am talking about the kind that are drenched with basil infused olive oil with garlic seemingly exploding out of the center and covering the entire knot-I like to call it the Vesuvius knot. Don't worry, I only treat myself to these once every couple of weeks. It is a good thing I am athletic because I would surely be a bit more "sturdy" if not. I always treat myself to something tasty once a week. If I can make it down to the lower east side, then I get my favorite piece of pizza, and then I go over to the Whole Earth Bakery, which is on St. Marks between Ave A and 1st Ave....I always get the chocolate cake with chocolate chips. Now, I am usually not a huge fan of so much chocolate at once, but this cake is divine and fruity. It is a vegan cake, so it is FAR better for you than the usual. The person who owns it is St. Peter the Baker, and he uses a lot of condensed fruit juice to sweeten his chocolate...YUMMM!

On the train right now, which was not supposed to be running between 207 and 168...I know this because I get the weekend service advisories emailed to me. I walk over to the bus stop over by my apartment on 200th, and I wait for ten minutes for a shuttle bus. No bus AND I see people walking down into the subway and NOT coming back out to get the free shuttle bus as they realized their mistake. So, I mosey on over to the staircase that leads to the subterranean, and I hear a train coming! I run as I get out my metro card, and, luckily, I get there in the nick of time. WHAT?! How did I get an email last night saying that I had to take a shuttle bus to 168 before I could catch the A train...? Oh well, it works out better in the end because it shaves off a good 20 minutes off of my travel time.

I am heading to 86th off of the C now to do a couple of mystery shops. I know...I always pack my schedule no matter what...kind of makes me comfortably blind to other annoying aspects of life..such as unpredictable train service and not getting a job on Broadway...haha..but, beggars can't be choosers...
